Are you ready to challenge your navigation skills at night? Join our Night Navigation Course, designed for hill walkers who want to gain confidence and competence in navigating after dark and in poor weather conditions. In this immersive 3+ hour practical course, you'll learn: * Ground to map and map to ground interpretation focusing on contour information * Avoiding hazards * Use of compass for taking and following bearings * Distance measuring, with timing and pacing * Navigation strategies for poor visibility conditions * Relocation skills * Apply safe and effective route-finding techniques at night * Gain hands-on experience with practical exercises Led by experienced instructors, this course combines theory with practice, ensuring you’re well-prepared to tackle the unique challenges of night time mountain navigation. Whether you're a seasoned hill walker or new to the hills, this course will equip you with the essential skills to explore safely and confidently in the dark and during poor weather conditions. This course is perfect for those who want to: * Feel fully prepared and confident for your upcoming Mountain Skills (MS) or Mountain Leader (ML) assessment. * Be prepared for poor weather and challenging visibility conditions. * Expand your mountain adventures to include night walks, sunset, and sunrise experiences. You can revisit this course as many times as you like, perfecting different skills with each session, until you feel confident to tackle the hills independently.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that things may arise last minute. We ask that you give us as much notice as possible so we can try and fill your spot. A cancellation of your spot will incur a €50 cancellation fee. The full course fee is non refundable 7 days before the start of the course date. No transfers to another course date permitted.
